The Una Mano Amiga Program develops initiatives to promote a new beginning for refugees and migrants living in São Paulo, preferably in the city’s North Zone.
By listening to the needs expressed by refugee and migrant populations, we seek to respond effectively, providing welcoming spaces that strengthen family and community bonds, offer Portuguese language learning, prepare participants for the job market through safe employment and entrepreneurship, and promote initiatives that foster integration and knowledge of Brazilian culture. Our goal is to ensure equality in rights and duties established by Brazilian law, which guarantees access to education, culture, health, social assistance, employment, legal aid, and safety.
