The Young Leaders Program, launched at the 7th Refugee Forum in 2022 and continued at the 8th Refugee Forum in 2023, aims to train young people engaged in initiatives supporting refugees and migrants.
With the mission of mobilizing Christian youth with leadership potential, the program seeks to equip Young Leaders to respond to the challenges posed by the global migration crisis.
During the two editions of the program held at the 7th and 8th Refugee Forums, more than 60 young people aged 18 to 30 participated in online training sessions led by professionals specializing in migration and refugee issues. Of these, 22 attended the Refugee Forum in person, receiving training, sharing best practices, and building relationships with churches and organizations involved in the cause.
The program aims to strengthen skills and create a collaborative network to support refugees and migrants. We are excited to inspire the next generation of humanitarian leaders!
The Young Leaders Program, now in its second edition, was made possible through the vital support of Mesa Global and Tearfund—essential partners in the success of the initiative. Thanks to this collaboration, 37 young leaders engaged in impactful activities, enriching their experiences and strengthening the promotion of the migration cause within the Christian community.
The partnership among these institutions was key to mobilizing Christian youth toward welcoming and supporting refugees and migrants.
In its first edition, the Young Leaders Program received vital support from Mesa Global, along with other organizations such as the Evangelical Alliance, ChildFund, FEPAS, Instituto Robinson Cavalcanti, and Tearfund.
This collaboration enabled the engagement of 25 young leaders, enriching activities, and the promotion of the migration cause among Christian youth.
